Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 25, 2026 · Version 2026-10-25
1. Operator and contact
IURII NOVIKOV, an individual, operates Propagandometer and is responsible for the personal data described here. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, use our Support form and select an appropriate subject, such as “Privacy request”. The form is available without an account. Provide a reply email; there is no separate public contact email.
2. What we collect
- Account data: email, a password hash rather than a readable password, account and membership identifiers, authentication and password-reset information, and the dates and versions of accepted legal documents.
- Analysis data: submitted text and URLs, text retrieved from linked pages, AI-generated scores, quotations and explanations, language, request history, and the user or anonymous-session identifiers associated with each launch or retry.
- Anonymous-use and security data: session and browser identifiers, keyed hashes derived from session tokens, device identifiers and IP addresses, request limits, and abuse or moderation records. These identifiers can link activity within a browser; anonymous access does not mean no data is collected. Web servers and hosting providers may also process IP addresses, browser information, timestamps, and request paths in operational logs.
- Waitlist: email, interest in API access, optional feature suggestions, language, and submission time. We use these to manage registration interest, contact you about availability, and plan features. A waitlist entry does not create an account. Request removal through Support at any time.
- Support and complaints: reply email, subject, message, reported analysis, reason, details, author identifiers, and moderation actions.
- Technical logs: external request URLs, request and response payloads, timing, errors, token counts, and links to the initiating analysis and request. These payloads can contain submitted text and generated results. Known credential fields are filtered, but the service does not automatically remove all personal information embedded in submitted material.
3. Why we use data
We use data to authenticate accounts, retrieve and analyze submitted material, display results, maintain request history, respond to Support, review reports, prevent misuse, enforce limits, diagnose problems, and measure operational usage. Where relevant data-protection law applies, the basis is performing the service you request, our legitimate interests in security and reliable operation, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required. Acknowledging this Policy is not permission for unrelated advertising or marketing.
4. Public analyses
Source text, source links, analysis results, and quotations may be public. They can appear in recent-analysis listings, be accessed through shared links, and be indexed or copied by others. Do not submit secrets, sensitive personal data, or material you lack permission to disclose. Account emails, Support messages, and report details are not intentionally displayed on public analysis pages. Administrators can access them for operation, support, and moderation. Hiding a page cannot retrieve copies already made by third parties.
5. Service providers and other recipients
We send source text and analysis instructions to an LLM provider to generate assessments and explanations. We do not send your account email, password, or account identifiers to the LLM provider. Submitted text may contain personal data if you include it. Do not include personal data in the text you submit. LLM provider processing and retention are subject to its applicable service terms and data controls; do not assume submitted text is immediately erased after a response.
Email delivery providers may process account or support-related messages when used. When loading text from a URL, our server contacts that site and the site receives the requested URL and server connection information.
We require providers processing personal data on our behalf to protect it consistently with this Policy and applicable law. Provider-specific terms and lawful security obligations may also apply. Data may be processed in countries other than yours, including Singapore, where application hosting is configured, and other provider locations. Where required, appropriate contractual or other lawful safeguards must apply to international transfers. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell personal data or use the service's account and analysis records for targeted advertising. This version does not implement advertising tracking or request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, or microphone.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies for login, security, anonymous-session identification, and language preferences. Browser local storage remembers your chosen language and a randomly generated device identifier used for rate limiting. Disabling or clearing these can affect login, preferences, or continuity, and does not necessarily remove server records or IP-based limits. These mechanisms support operation rather than advertising.
7. Retention and security
Account records remain until deletion; public analyses and associated history are stored separately and do not automatically expire. There is currently no blanket automatic deletion schedule for analysis, waitlist, Support, report, or technical-log records. We retain records as needed to provide and troubleshoot the service, address requests and abuse, and meet legal obligations. You may request review and deletion through Support. Where continued retention is necessary, we will explain the applicable reason. Deleted data can remain temporarily in backups until those backups expire and should not be restored into active use except where necessary for recovery and lawful retention.
Safeguards include encrypted connections, password hashing, access controls for administration, and filtering of known secrets in technical logs. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid submitting sensitive information.
8. Your choices and rights
You can change account details or delete your account in Account settings. Deleting an account removes the login account but does not automatically erase shared analyses, source text, support records, logs, or security history. References to the deleted account may be removed while independently stored material remains. To request deletion of personal information or public material, use Support and include relevant links. We may need proportionate information to verify your request; never send a password.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, receive a portable copy of data, or withdraw consent for processing based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing. We respond within applicable legal time limits and explain any permitted exceptions. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. You can use public results without registering and stop submitting material at any time.
9. Children
The service is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. Do not submit children's personal data. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact Support so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Changes
We publish updates with an effective date and version. Material changes will be communicated through the service, and additional consent requested where required. This Policy describes the service's actual processing; any App Store privacy disclosures must also reflect the functionality and providers included in the distributed app.
